Wednesdays 8:00-9:00pm St. Lukes
This is a parent volunteer coached league. In order to sign up for the reduced cost of the league you must be willing to act as the head coach for your team. Head coaches are limited to one per team. Assistant coaches are welcomed. Practices will be planned and ran by a Lions coach. The Lions coaches will not coach the individual players, but will coach the group practices.
During the matches, the parent volunteer coach will coach the team and call time outs. Since a rotation format is used, parent volunteer coaches do not need to worry about things like substitutions or line ups.
We do have some expectations for our parent volunteer coaches, these include:
- attend all practices and matches or arrange for another parent to fill in
- be enthusiastic, supportive and positive. Being a cheerleader is most of the job.
- keep track of stars for your team or find a parent on your team willing to do this tracking
- if possible, attend the two hour training session for parent volunteer coaches on Sunday, September 9.
